Book in Progress: Artificial Intelligence in Digital Reputation
Sally has recently finalized bringing her insights to print, as her newly published book delves into the intricate relationship between artificial intelligence and language, particularly in the context of digital reputation. This work promises to be a groundbreaking contribution to the ever-evolving landscape of AI and its impact on contemporary communication, especially that is amongst the first books in Arabic that tackle such topics all together.

Sally has actively engaged in various research topics, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of academic exploration:
“The integration of new media and the evolution of feminism has brought about a dynamic and transformative era in the fight for feminism, as new media, encompassing various digital platforms and technologies, has revolutionized the way information is disseminated, conversations are held, and communities are formed. Simultaneously, feminism, as a social and political movement, has experienced a significant shift with each wave and has adapted to changing societal dynamics through different waves, embracing new modes of activism and inclusivity.”
In this article Sally examines the current scene of feminism that coincides with the rise of social media and the high integration of AI in new media, ushering in a profound shift in the fight for gender equality.

“The influence of social media in today’s society is undeniable, and the number of people who can access it is increasingly changing the forms of traditional activism, which have moved, to a large extent, from public spaces to digital platforms. As a form of activism, feminism can also benefit from social media, as it is a very powerful tool in the hands of women and, in general, of vulnerable people to express their view, make their voices heard, share experiences or desires, and mobilize public opinion. In the Arab world, and more specifically in the case of Lebanon, the use of social media has helped many women to grow, talk about the violence inflicted on them, and denounce their aggressors, as well as legislators and political leaders. Although much remains to be done to achieve gender equality, new technologies have emerged as a decisive tool in this struggle. Therefore, more and better strategies should be designed so that women can take advantage of the potential of media in a positive way.”
“That evolution and convergence of media has a huge societal impact on all areas, especially on consumer behavior as e-commerce has monopolized our buying habits, our social interaction, and on our collective values. Nevertheless, the pandemic accelerated the process of adopting new online behaviors, extending virtual communities, and opening new markets. Thus we started hearing more about NFTs, Block chain, cryptocurrency, and many different terms. Several types of digital objects can be associated to an NFT including photos, videos, and audio. NFTs are now being used to commodify digital objects in different contexts, such as art, gaming, and sports collectibles”

A research project funded by the British Academy 2019 – 2022, The project ‘Towards early childhood education by 2030 for all children in Lebanon’ explored how Lebanon can promote equitable access to early childhood education for 3- to 5-year-olds and for Syrian child refugees. The research team intended to learn about improving access to early childhood education from the perspectives of policymakers, NGOs, early childhood teachers and parents of young children.
